About Dr. Jen's House of Beauty
Dr. Jen isn't just an anti-aging expert; she's a scientist determined to give makeup and skincare products a makeover. After receiving her Ph.D. in biophysics and biochemistry, she used her newfound wisdom regarding the cellular mechanics of aging to assess the contents of her own makeup bag––and was appalled by its contents. Believing that she could make natural, toxin-free beauty products that worked as well as the products produced by major companies, she founded her own skincare and makeup lines, Atomic Cosmetics and Xerion Skincare. By carefully choosing only the most effective active ingredients––and using a bit of emulsion chemistry––Dr. Jen is able to eliminate the need for heavy or dangerous chemical preservatives in her products, and, as an added bonus, none of her cosmetics are ever tested on animals, no matter how much they beg.
Now with a shop and spa on East Pike Street, Dr. Jen's House of Beauty offers makeup and skincare consultations, along with pampering facials that use those very products, which are formulated in-house. And, to make sure customers get the most out of their non-toxic beauty routine, the shop even offers educational events, such as makeup tutorials and seminars that help students identify the chemicals in their cosmetics.
