About Dr. Michael R. Macdonald
Dr. Michael R. Macdonald has surgical treatments in his blood. His earliest inspiration came from his father, who worked as a pediatric head and neck surgeon in their native Toronto. That influence stuck: the young Macdonald took up the family stethoscope by studying surgery at the University of Toronto, even training under his father for a portion of his first residency. He continued his education at the University of California, San Francisco, and, enamored of the city, decided to stay to open his practice.
Today, Dr. Macdonald provides both cosmetic and reconstructive treatments from the comfort of his clinic. In addition to performing plastic-surgery treatments, he leads a team of skincare specialists who tend to clients with facials and advanced laser treatments. Dr. Macdonald also extends his beautifying mission beyond the practice’s walls, contributing his time and talents to a number of charitable organizations.
