Q:

Greetings, I want to know if the treatment includes deep cleansing. Thanks

Jennifer  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Hello, I am assuming you are referring to a "Scaling and Root Planing" procedure, often called a "deep cleaning." That procedure is the first attempt to combat periodontal disease, and while the groupon will provide for an exam where the presence or absence of periodontal disease is determined, it DOES NOT provide for the deep cleaning, it instead provides a Gross Debridement, which is a procedure where we clean off as much tartar and plaque as we can as an initial cleaning before further treatment is discussed. I hope that adequately answers your question :-) -Thomas Leonard, DMD
