About Driftless Glen Distillery and Restaurant
In 2015, after years of planning, Brian and Renee Bemis opened Driftless Glen Distillery and Restaurant, where in addition to cranking out bourbon, gin, and vodka, they also craft artisan moonshine of various flavors along with brandy aged for five years in bourbon barrels.
Visitors to the facility can see the distilling process in action during daily tours that take them through the production area and past the barrels, tanks, and copper stills where the spirits are made—capped off with a tasting of spirits paired with a selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegar. And those whose appetites are perked by the spirited tasting can also enjoy lunch or dinner at the on-site restaurant, where diners dine on upscale plates of coconut curry mussels or brandy-glazed salmon while taking in views of the Baraboo River.
