Today's side deal makes wine so you don't have to, saving you from accidentally blowing up your apartment with yeastsplosion or having to comically balance on a rolling wine barrel: for $10, you get a three-day general-admission pass to the Austin Wine & Music Festival (a $30 value). The festival is on Memorial Day weekend, from Saturday, May 29, to Monday, May 31. The Groupon is for three days of general admission for those 16 years and older, and does not include alcohol. You must present your Groupon each day.
The tri-day festival starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, packing The Domain with more wines, brews, tunes, artisans, and food than New Orleans, Santa Fe, Napa Valley, and Munich smashed together at high speed and compressed into a super-dense, marble-sized pellet. Check out the scheduled band list for all the info on your favorite strummers, including Rob Baird, Micky and the Motorcars, Texas Renegade, and more. The festival also offers plenty of food vendors, artisans, and craftsmen for items ranging from wood designs to gourmet pizzas.
If you are 21 years or older with a valid ID, you may upgrade at the event's front gate to one of two packages. For an additional $23, you can upgrade to an adult one-day pass, which includes one wine glass and a 10-tab sampler wristband. For an additional $50, you can upgrade to an adult three-day pass, which comes with one wine glass that must be reused each day of the festival and a 10-tab sampler wristband on each day you check in. The three-day upgrade is only available on Saturday.
Admission is free for those 15 years and younger. Bring your Groupon each day of the festival.
