What You'll Get
Blown air improves the flight of kites, the meaning of kisses, and the infamy of dresses worn by famous Marilyns. Fortify the ferocity of your follicular look with today's deal: for $25, you get a blowout and Hair Shots Kerastase treatment at drybar, a friendly, scissor-free blow-dry bar in Studio City (a $55 total value).
For special-occasion operation and everyday wear, drybar's blowout artists specialize in sculpting a wide range of looks and gifting beauty beehives with a healthy glow. Their blowout menu runs the glamour gamut: Achieve the just-rolled-out-of-bed look that lasts all day with a messy, beachy, and playful Mai Tai, or harness the classic charm of voluminous curls by treating yourself to a Southern Comfort blowout. Or, for a modern East Coast look that doesn't require hailing a hovercab, strike a pose and smoothen out your strands with the Manhattan. No matter which look you elect to preside over your head, every blowout comes complete with a choice of quick but rejuvenating Hair Shots, five-minute Kerastase treatments that infuse your shampoo with desired attributes—the Alabama Slamma fortifies weakened threads, the Super Hue refreshes color-treated tresses, and the Sea Breeze nourishes dry locks.
Owned and operated by a lively crew of stylists and artists, drybar is committed to three things—blowouts, providing an elegant interior with a fashion-forward feel, and blowouts. Call for an appointment; open slots are easier to come by Mondays through Wednesdays.
The original drybar was featured in Vanity Fair's The Beauty Blog, The Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, FOX News LA, and DailyCandy. The Lifestyle Lemonaid and My Daily Find blogs featured the Studio City location.
- Imagine your morning POST drop off… dump the car at the car wash on the corner of Nagle and Ventura, pick up a coffee at LPQ, and and get a blow dry in thirty minutes. Multi tasking all within one hour on one block. – Lifestyle Lemonaid
The Fine Print
Promotional value expires Mar 1, 2011. Amount paid never expires. Limit 1 per person, may buy multiple as gifts. By appointment only. Valid for listed location only. Gratuity not included. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services.
At Drybar, a pair of scissors or hair-coloring foil is nowhere to be found. That’s because the business’s founder, Alli Webb, opened the shop strictly for blowouts after her in-home business skyrocketed. Featured extensively in the media, each of the more than 100 white-hued, airy shops revolves around a center bar where customers sit for around 45 minutes as stylists blow-dry, straighten, and curl their hair. From a menu booklet, clients select a cocktail-themed hairstyle, such as The Mai Tai, which imparts beachy waves, and The Manhattan, which streamlines locks with a sleek finish that mimics the straight lines of downtown New York and can be outfitted with a tiny doorman who hails cabs for you. The staff at Drybar also crafts updos, travels on location for an additional fee, offers high-end products and tools available for purchase, and tallies bar tabs so that customers can pay for multiple blowouts at once.
