About DuVig Brewing Company
Credit a blizzard for the DuVig Brewing Company. In 2013, a blizzard left the Dugas and Vigliotti families trapped at home with limited beer-drinking options. Stuck with only their home-brewed beers to drink, they had an epiphany: "true to style" session beers are not only easy to drink, they're full-flavored as any craft beers out there.
Since this realization, DuVig has maintained the brewing philosophy from the home-brewing days—keep it simple, and skip the incredibly high-alcohol content. DuVig beers can now be found on tap at many bars and restaurants in the area, and of course at the brewery.
Here's a quick look at a few of DuVig easy-drinking session beers you might find on draft:
Cream Ale: This award-winning beer has a slight malt flavor with a nice crispness that is accented with American hops added for flavor and aroma, not bitterness. Flavors in this beer include flowers, fruit, earth, and spice. DuVig Cream Ale is a thirst quencher that can be enjoyed year-round.
Brown Ale: This beer is brewed to have hints of rose and chocolate. These flavors come from dark roasted malts used sparingly to produce a Brown Ale with flavors such as carmel, toffee and biscuits. The yeast used to ferment DuVig Brown Ale adds traces of fruity flavors and aromas such as plums, raisins, or ripe apples. These rich, dark flavors are most apparent at 42-45 degrees.
American Pale Ale: This is a classic beer brewed to perfection. Flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, and citrus are at the forefront of this perfectly balanced Pale Ale.
