Duggan's Boundary couldn't feel much more Irish if you picked it up and floated it across the Atlantic. Pass in from the cottage-like exterior and you're swallowed by a cozy cave of amber wood and warm, low lighting. A carving on the bar immediately suggests a drink—"GUINNESS"—but any beer you order will come in one of the pub's signature true, full-size pint glasses, guaranteed not to turn into an old shoe at the stroke of midnight.
The food, too, is just the sort of thing you'd find in a modern Dublin pub. There are, of course, haddock and chips or and a cottage pie, filled right up to the mashed potatoes with ground beef, local vegetables, and beef gravy. The U.K.'s Indian influence shows through in a secret-recipe Indian butter chicken. Even the pizzas taste of Ireland: the Irish Banger pie comes covered in cumberland sausage, red onion, fresh rosemary, and hot-mustard aioli.
On sunny mornings, the recently renovated patio fills up with brunchers digging into Alberta sirloin steak and farm-fresh eggs. Evenings find a variety of entertainments, including televised rugby matches, themed parties, and open mics.
