Duos Lounge

In creating the menu at Duos Lounge, the chefs presented themselves with a challenge: cook with ingredients from the American northwest, but end up with Italian-, Latin-, and Asian-inspired cuisine. Oh, and the ingredients should be sustainable and organic whenever possible.

They scouted for farms and artisans who agreed with their mission, and committed to making certain products—breads, pastas, and sauces—by hand. The result? Filipino-style egg rolls packed with water chestnuts, garlic, and pork from Carlton Farms. Cappelletti pasta blanketed with basil-pesto sauce and stuffed with Beechers Flagship cheese. Plus, impressive plating that caught the attention of Seattleite, which raved that Duos' dishes are "plated with such a keen attention to detail they are almost too pretty to eat."

Lest anyone think that the food staff has all the fun, the bar puts an equal amount of thought into their cocktail list. Original libations such as the Amelia Earhart (Aviation gin, fresh lemon, and creme de violette foam) feature local and handcrafted spirits, in keeping with Duos Lounge's approach to its cuisine.

Food is very very good. The restaurant is closing as of December 20, 2014. It will continue to offer catering and they'll have the restaurant space available for parties, etc.
