Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

Is this will legal in British Columbia?

Grant W.  asked on  Jan 1, 2013

A:

Hi Grant, Thanks for your email. This is Michael from www.DynamicLegalForms.com. Our Will-O-Matic does take into consideration British Columbia's Wills laws and we also provide a comprehensive eBook at the end of the Will-O-Matic that tells you everything you ever wanted to know about these laws. We're very much in tune with making our Will-O-Matic reflect provincial laws (because Wills laws are provincial and they change from province to province). Hope this helps!

Q:

Upon completing the will is it legal and active immediately or does it need to be notraized or filed anywhere?

Sarah B.  asked on  Jan 4, 2013

A:

Hi Sarah, There is no legal requirement for your Will to be filed or notarized in order for it to be legal in Canada. You can read up about what the legal requirements are to have a valid Will in the eBook that comes with the Will, as well as in the signing instructions. Hope this helps!

Q:

How do I access this and the forms online. I will be out of the country and don't want to access this on my phone. thanks. Signi

Signi T.  asked on  Jan 5, 2013

A:

Hi Signi, It's all done online on our website. Just go to www.dynamiclegalforms.com/wills_splash.php and click "get started". Also, be sure to read the voucher redemption instructions. This is not done over the phone. It's an online questionnaire that generates a downloadable custom-tailored .pdf Will. Hope this helps.

Q:

Why does a spouse have to purchase a separate will form. Can't a married couple do a joint will using this form. Larry W

larry w.  asked on  Jan 4, 2013

A:

Hi Larry, Joint Wills are flawed for many reasons and not recommended in Canada (or elsewhere). That's why the Will-O-Matic was set up to only allow an individual to complete his or her own Will. Hope this helps.

Q:

Just to be clear - can I purchase two and give one to my spouse (who does not have or want a Groupon account)?

Marilyn V.  asked on  Jan 1, 2013

A:

Absolutely ;-) The only thing is that they will need to create their own account on www.DynamicLegalForms.com (and not using your account to create their Will - it's pretty personal stuff).
