East Bay Vintner's Alliance
Delicious as they may be, wines have one major flaw: they can’t speak for themselves. That’s where the East Bay Vintner’s Alliance steps in. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Oakland, the EBVA has since cultivated a kinship with more than 20 innovative urban wineries. The alliance acts much like a farmer’s market for wine: it creates buzz and awareness about the breakthrough wineries in the East Bay so winemakers don't have to pour buckets of their vino from blimps to get the word out. More than just the sources of award-winning varietals, the wineries that compose the EBVA also carry a high level of consumer consciousness and environmental responsibility.
