We had a great time as first time paddlers and Cathy was a fantastic instructor! Cathy was so knowledgable about SUP and the history of the area we were located. She made it fun and much less intimidating. After the lesson, getting on the board and balancing was much easier than expected. We are hooked and can’t wait to take a tour with Cathy. My group of five senior adults (all in our 60s and 70s) signed-up for the introductory lesson with East Coast Paddleboarding, which included 2 hours of board rental plus an hour of instruction followed by an hour of free time to practice. Cathy, the owner, was our instructor. She was very safety-conscious and provided thorough and easy to follow instructions as well as lots if useful information related to paddleboarding on tidal salt water rivers. Cathy was also very friendly and accommodating. We all had a lot of fun and left with comfort and confidence in the use of a stand-up paddleboard. I’ll be doing more paddleboarding in the future. I highly recommend East Coast Paddleboarding.
