Q:

I am a 63 year old woman. Will the Lactic peel make a difference? Will 3 peels make a bigger difference? Is there redness or peeling afterward? How long do you wait between peels?

Terri G.  asked on  Apr 15, 2013

A:

Lactic peels are a milder, gentler chemical peel than a glycolic peel. Redness may last 3 - 5 days and may cause dry, itchy, flaky skin, and causes sun sensitivity. It is effective for mature skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. One to four week intervals are recommended depending on how deep the peel is.
