What You'll Get

Eastside Tennis Club's USPTA–certified instructors coach small groups of eight or fewer players in a wide variety of swing-stoking classes. In Tennis 101, adults new to the game will learn fundamentals of serves, strokes, and counting to four in tennisglish. Alternately, swing and shuffle to a high-energy soundtrack in the weekly cardio-tennis class, which fuses aerobic exercise with intensive tennis drills. Junior Groupon holders participate in a kids' class catering to ages 5–10, where tykes study teamwork, basic strokes, and how to channel John McEnroe in a feud with line judges. With four classes a week, astute racket-handlers will emerge from camp with a mean forehand and the genteel habit of shaking hands after arguments. The club provides appropriately sized equipment for children's classes.
