What You'll Get
Greek history celebrates the day Aphrodite rose out of the sea within a lone oyster shell, clenching a lemon and a shucking knife made out of freshwater pearls. Dig into a legendary dish with this Groupon: for $39, you get an oyster dinner for two at Eats on Lex (up to a $102 total value). The dinner includes the following:
- Two dozen Blue Point East Coast oysters (a $72 value)
- Two signature martinis (up to a $15 value each)<p>
Eats on Lex invites pairs to dine on fresh, daily delivered crops of Long Island Blue Point oysters and specialty bar beverages. Satisfy hunger waves with a platter of mollusks, each waiting to be plucked, shucked, and ushered into the stomach from the chilled oyster bar. After cracking shells with appropriate silverware or dentures made from shucking knives, diners give each juicy bite a flavorful kick with accompanying sides of cocktail sauce and champagne mignonette. Eats on Lex’s fully stocked bar pours a plethora of specialty martinis, ranging from traditional to cucumber or sour cherry.
Guests settle into two-person tables, examining the black-and-white photos of early 1900s street vendors that line Eats on Lex’s intimate dining room. The restaurant’s glass-window façade spills daylight across the minimalist decor, and eyes drift outward to the streets to watch passing people or instigate staring contests with mimes.

About Eats on Lex
Oysters, martinis, and burgers take center stage at Eats on Lex, where the oysters roll in fresh daily, the martinis range from classic to chocolate raspberry, and the burgers are formed from dry-aged beef. Beyond its ornate cornice, guest dig into a menu of upscale American pub food in a modern, yet cozy, dining room—characterized by clean lines, rich woods, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Bloody-mary oyster shooters, huevos rancheros, and french toast with vanilla cream and strawberries fill bellies at brunch time, and lunch and dinner dishes include spicy lamb-meatball sandwiches and new york strip sandwiches. Bartenders mix an array of specialty martinis and cocktails behind the gleaming stone bar, including a cucumber martini and peach margarita, both of which pair well with your frenemy's new dress. More than an oyster bar and eatery, Eats on Lex also draws customers with occasional live jazz and happy hour specials.
