Though art often imitates nature’s beauty, it is fortunate that sunset paintings don’t turn into black canvases at night and that zen waterfalls seldom experience spring flooding. Let your décor go a little wild with today’s Groupon to Eden GardenHouse. Choose between the following options:

  • For $24, you get two one-hour children’s garden-style arts-and-craft classes (a $50 value), held Saturdays at 11 a.m.
  • For $44, you get two adult garden-inspired decorating workshops (a $90 value), held Saturdays at 3 p.m.<p>

Eden GardenHouse’s instructors impart a nature-inspired philosophy to blossoming decorators, using the establishment’s own collection of fine art, handcrafted goods, and curated garden implements as a jumping-off point. Tykes aged 4 and older trundle through hands-on crafting sessions that were recently featured on Sonoran Living. Proud crafters return home with a new piece of art, a plant, and a photograph of themselves with their spoils. Past projects have included adorning a clay vessel for new flora friends or assembling a popsicle-stick picture frame in which to preserve precious memories of eating an absurd number of popsicles.

During adult seminars, friendly teachers educate their pupils in proper décor decorum, breaking former habits and mulching them into fuel for the growth of a new garden of options. Classes plunge into topics such as color inspiration, utilizing patterns and textures, and effective accessorizing as each attendee crafts their own complete design for their favorite room or squirrel hollow. Instructors provide feedback on individual projects as students assemble their sources, swatches, and art into a style-inspiration book. Students use the book to garner ideas or remember not to replace their floors with potting soil when assembling their own garden-inspired spaces.

In Eden’s retail space, carefully chosen knickknacks and wall hangings grace tabletops and vertical surfaces in five distinctly flavored rooms, with sculpted garden implements and paintings from local artisans that embody Eden’s garden-style philosophy. The walls in the children’s room sprout painted trees that provide resting places for elegant birdhouses and flocks of fugitive dodo birds.

EDEN GardenHouse

Eden GardenHouse's attentive staff curates the feel of an outdoor garden by bringing pottery, trellises, and terra cotta accents together as a backdrop for the home-accents shop. The assortment of house- and condo-beautifying products includes lamps, candles, finials, and pictures. Clients can choose items for themselves or bring an Eden consultant into their home to help them decorate unadorned sitting rooms or floating houseboats stripped of décor by thieving seagulls. A children’s garden room nestles inside Eden, where the branches of a tree mural hang over a play area full of garden-inspired toys such as rakes, watering cans, and riding lawnmowers. The space also plays host to children’s workshops where they work with parents to complete a garden art project.
