Edge Fitness Club's members make their way into the gym—nestled beside the Channel Islands Harbor—followed by the sounds of lapping waves and squawks of seagulls. The peaceful ocean vibe is reflected throughout the club, as walls of picture windows open up views of distant sailboats and a horizon that rolls over the ridges of the Santa Monica Mountains. Enthusiastic trainers make their way through the pristine facility, demonstrating proper form to clients heaving free weights or toning up on weight machines.
