The building was clean and the staff were very friendly. Even tho we were a little late we couldn't find it at first, once we got there they let the kids jump right into the class. We could watch them on the screen in the waiting area. I really like that their schedule for classes is the same each week. We can switch what days we go if we need to. I would recommend for busy parents.
I wanted to try something new, and not only does this facility offer free intro classes, the price for the Groupon I bought was amazing. the staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. Even if martial arts isn't your thing (which it will be) it is super fun to even try out!!! I was looking for kickboxing but I found this and it was so much better!!!
Place is pretty cool. Instructors are good so far. Only issue I have is there is little structure around progression. I spent time filling in the quesionare but I don't see that being used in the practice.
Very clean, spacious environment, very friendly and respectful place . I appreciate the willingness to answer any questions or assistance. The place is a very positive environment. I so far like taking my youngest there .

About Edmonton Mixed Martial Arts
Michael Woodford, master instructor at Edmonton Mixed Martial Arts, began studying martial arts at age 6, and over a lifetime of studies, he has earned black belts in ju-jitsu, karate, and tae kwon do and wisdom in the arts of Muay Thai kickboxing and Wing Chun. Throughout his experience in multiple disciplines, Michael has come to believe that the key to any martial arts style is achieving confidence and self-discipline, and that self-defense skills and strength will develop with these assets in place. In his studio, experienced instructors don practice pads or hire a stunt double and teach kids, teens, and adults distancing techniques and hand-to-hand fighting methods. Their practical and functional curriculum blends styles including karate, Muay Thai, kickboxing, tae kwon do, kung fu, Japanese fujitsu, and Brazilian ju-jitsu.
