What You'll Get
Adding cheese to anything makes it better, whether it's a cake or a state above Illinois. Harness the dairy delicacy into dessert form with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of cheesecake and more at Eileen's Special Cheesecake in Lower Manhattan.
Featured on the Food Network's Food Feud with Michael Symon and Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Eileen and her crew of crave connivers have been crafting hard-to-quit wheels of sweet cheese and other baked goods for more than 35 years. People coming in for a treat of the shrunken-cake sort can snack on mini cheesecakes ($3.50 each) in a variety of flavors, or tarts ($3.50 each) that come plain, moussed, or fruit-topped.
Coming in more than 25 different flavors, cheesecake is the superstar of Eileen's baked lineup, and customers can use their Groupon toward any of the larger cake varieties. The cheese-based treat costumes itself in strawberries ($19.50 for a 6" cake), chocolate ($16 for a 6" cake), a four-fruit ensemble ($19.50 for a 6" cake), and many other ornate headdresses. Much like a substitute teacher, some people may consider Eileen's vegan tofu cheesecake ($19.50 for a 6" cake) better than the real thing. Other baked goods, such as pies ($17+) and mousses ($18 for a 6" cake), round out the bake shop's round assortment. Customers can check out the stock for themselves when visiting this neighborhood staple, as Eileen's exhibits a beautifully kept display case backed by friendly staffers.
