Q:

i have an atrophied muscle in my butt, which makes my right hip weaker than my left. I always use a handrail when going up and down stairs. I have enjoyed the wharf segway tour 3 times, without any problem. Is this tourr really that much more strenous, that I should not try it?

Martha M.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

It is not any more strenous than the Fisherman's Wharf Tour, the reccomendation of walking up stairs without the hand rail is our best way to communicate the inability to stabalize yourself with the handlebars of the Segway. If you have done it before we're sure you can do it again!

Q:

I used the wrong card. How do it correct this in this purchase?

Linda M.  asked on  Oct 25, 2012

A:

I would ask groupon the best way to handle that type of situation.

Q:

How many people do you book per tour? There would be a total of 5 of us. Not sure which company I saw, with a larger (10 or more) group, and do not want that. I have been on a tour with another company and liked the small group that could be watched over well and did NOT have earphones in order to hear the guide. You don' do that, do you? Thanks!

Barbara R.  asked on  Oct 24, 2012

A:

We book 8 people per tour guide, some of our tours have 2 tour guides and will be booked up to 16 people for training but on tour they will be split up into 2 groups of 8. We can accommodate up to 6 groupon guests per each tour time, so with a group of 5 I highly suggest booking your seats as soon as possible. All of our tours DO have a radio communication system with an ear bud as well. The ear bud is required in order to ride because it is also a means of your guide communicating safety precautions with our guests.

How long does the tour take?

Angi D.  asked on  Oct 23, 2012

The tour is a 2.5 hour experience. The first 30-40 minutes is used for training you on how to correctly operate the machine and the remaining 2 hours is a 7 mile loop through the beautiful eastern side of the park.

We are interested in this tour but have had no experience driving a Segway. Will there be lessons on safe maneuvering? Thanks, Jean K

A:

Most definitely, there is a training included in our tour. The training is very thorough and takes about 30 minutes before we head out to explore the park!
