Elevation Burger's name isn't simply a nod to the height of its burgers—although there are certainly some towering ones. The customizable Vertigo burger, for example, comes stuffed with up to 10 organic beef patties. Even the more modest, namesake burger comes with not one, but two patties, making it about as tall as a panini on stilts.
However, the restaurant is striving to elevate burgers on a less literal level, too. Namely, by challenging the way people think about a typical burger joint. Take Elevation's beef for starters: more than organic, it's grass-fed, free-range, and ground fresh every morning. Then there are the gourmet toppings, which range from slices of aged, unprocessed cheddar to oven-glazed mushrooms. Even the shop's veggie burgers stand out; the vegan-friendly patties are ground from organic whole grains, veggies, and spices. The health-conscious eatery also fries its delicious fare in heart-healthy olive oil, which is then recycled along with other waste—an action that reflects the restaurant's commitment to environmental sustainability.
