Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

What are Mink lashes and how much does a fill cost for either mink or synthetic?

arlene w.  asked on  May 6, 2012

A:

A fill costs $30.00 for eitther one of them. I like to give the mink fills cheaper, so people can afford to keep them up. Most of my clients get a fill every 3-4 weeks. I hope, that will help Elfie

Sorry, you asked also what are mink lashes? Mink lashes are a bit lighter to wear and have a very natural look to them. They are great for people that use hot tubs and saunas, because they don't crinkle then at the ends. Otherwise go with the synthetic silk, which are more affordable and also have a great look to them. Both wear beautifully. Thanks for your question Elfie

Q:

Will chlorine from a pool or suntan oil harm mink lashes?

Darcia H.  asked on  May 7, 2012

A:

Chlorine does not harm them. Don't put the oil on to your lashes or eyelids, since oil will loosen your lash extensions. Also, when you remove your eye make-up, you need to use waterbased eye make-up remover. Hope that helps Thanks Elfie

Q:

I am really interested in buying this groupon, I'm just unsure of which one I should get! I would definitly come back for the fillers to keep the look, but don't know which one is ideal to get for a first timer. I would like longer thicker lashes. Which one is the one to buy?

Lynnette L.  asked on  May 6, 2012

A:

I would suggest to go with the 30 mink lashes. They give you a nice mascara look. You can always add later. It is a great look for first time clients. Buy the mink trial and when I see your lashes, we can always add. Hope that helps Elfie

Q:

The advertisement states "will last up to 6 weeks with proper care." What exactly is the proper care of these eyelashes? Thank you.

Jamie Lynn K.  asked on  May 5, 2012

A:

The first 2 days, while the glue still sets, you should avoid tanning beds, hot steaming showers and hot tubs and saunas. After that, when you apply eye make-up, use waterbased eye make-up remover. You may use soap and water also. Don't wear mascara on your lash extensions. There is a special mascara for lash extensions, that you can use, but most of my clients don't need to wear any mascara. That is the idea of wearing extensions not to use mascara. Clean your lashes of make-up so they look nicer for longer.

Q:

what is the difference between mink and synthetic silk extensions ?

Alissa N.  asked on  May 5, 2012

A:

Mink lashes feel and look lighter. If you use hot tubs and saunas, I will recommend the mink lashes, because the silk can curl up at the ends, . They are both beautiful lashes and come in different width and length.
