Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

How does the delivery work exactly?

Taylor L.  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

We offer two sizes of produce boxes: "Farmer's Pick" CSA box for $20 each and "Farmer's Pick Plus" CSA box with additional produce for $30 each. We offer every other week delivery (2 deliveries/month) and weekly delivery (4 deliveries/month). We grow the produce, pack it up, and deliver it to your front door (a $5 delivery fee per delivery will apply). Deliveries will take place in the afternoons/early evenings when most people are home or are coming home from work and school. Drop locations with free delivery will be coming soon.

Q:

So is the groupon good for one delivery or one month worth of deliveries?

Shannon  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

The Groupon is good for one month worth of deliveries. The bimonthly option will include 2 deliveries. The weekly option will include 4 deliveries.

Q:

Just to clarify, is the $20.00 for ONE small box? I just checked out the website and the price on the company website states $20.00 for farmer's pick and $30.00 for farmer's pick plus. Which is the same as the groupon, so I just wanted to be clear as to where this discount is.

Clara L.  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

The Groupon is for one month of service at 50% off. You will be receiving 2 deliveries for the bimonthly option and 4 deliveries for the weekly option.

Q:

I see you aren't organic certified- do you use pesticides?

Carson D.  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

We are not "Certified Organic". We are also not pesticide free. However, we use all organic pesticides if we use any at all. We have always used organic methods of farming including using natural fertilizers. We have not applied for the organic certification due to cost constraints, but we have always ran our operation using the same standards.

Q:

I see that you say San Diego for delivery. What about Temecula?

Dianne S.  asked on  Sep 27, 2012

A:

Unfortunately, we need to keep our deliveries in a concentrated area for logistical reasons. I know Temecula is so close but we can't deliver to Temecula at this time. You are more than welcome to come to Fallbrook and pick-up. We will be offering deliveries to Temecula in the future please keep in contact. Thank you for your interest.

Q:

Are the pick up locations at your farm or at the farmers' markets? What areas do you deliver to? (or what areas do you NOT deliver to?) I notice that you don't go to any of the East County Farmers' Markets, do you not deliver in Eastern SD?

E S.  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

We deliver to most of San Diego County including East County. The only areas that we cannot do home deliveries is to extremely rural areas where it will not be feasible to make one delivery. If enough people are interested we can establish a drop off location. Please contact us with your specific needs.
