What You'll Get
The military turned to boot camp after its peppy Jazzercise program produced soldiers more adept at fighting off frowns than fighting off enemies. Achieve martial vigor with today’s Groupon: for $45, you get a one-month boot-camp package including up to eight classes at Elite Fitness Studio on 50th Street (a $120 value).
Elite Fitness Studio trainers Gilbert and Lauren Navejar transform people of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels into cardio crusaders using an integrated approach that works the whole body. A regimen designed around bodyweight exercises such as crunches and pushups builds muscle, burns calories, and increases strength and endurance. Unlike many machine weight-based workouts, the program's creative calisthenics target both large and small muscle groups. Mirrors line Elite Fitness’s spacious studio so that exercisers can evaluate their form and easily identify fitness-obsessed vampires. The four-week program consists of two classes a week, offered Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 10 a.m.
