Elmwood Grill & Bar
The chefs at Elmwood Grill & Bar take their time re-creating the flavors of Indo-China, Pakistan, and the Middle East. For example, the eatery's lamb, beef, and chicken is marinated for a minimum of 24 hours, as owner Hem Raj Gurung told the Hartford Courant. The succulent meats are then grilled alongside veggies and artfully assembled into shish kebab, lo mein, and fried-rice entrees.
The menu's crispy salads, lamb chops, and veggie pakoras are among other offerings. And diners should eat up if they want enough energy to sing their hearts out during karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. As for drinks, Elmwood's bartenders pour imported and domestic beers and wines, as well as mix signature cocktails including lime-basil margaritas.
