Elmwood Park Zoo
It all started with a farmer's generosity. In 1924, a civic-minded citizen handed over 16 acres of lush farmland and a small group of critters to the Borough of Norristown. Today, the Elmwood Park Zoo welcomes guests in hopes of creating a future stock of wildlife lovers and conservation advocates. A menagerie of exotic animals from all over the globe - including ocelots, jaguars, giraffe, and zebra - peer back at visitors. Guests can also spy on more than 15 species that are threatened or endangered.

great place to bring a family! smaller zoo with plenty to see... easy to fit into a partial day trip! for a small extra fee, the kids can feed the giraffes or small parrots by hand! there's a great playground and you can bring your own picnic. very nice. would go back again if i had another groupon!!

Smaller sized zoo - perfect for multiple children. Excellent exhibits and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The playground was a huge hit with my girls. Loved the free parking and the ability to bring in our own lunch.
