Empire State Pizza & Dogs
The story starts like a rom-com … a rom-com that ends with opening a pizza restaurant. Once upon a time, Todd and Donna worked in a restaurant together. Fortuitously, they both won a trip New York City. On their vacation, they fell in love and eventually married. Fast-forward a bit. Now back in Georgia, they were inspired by the New York food they'd fallen in love with while they were falling in love with each other.
So they opened Empire State Pizza & Dogs, a testament to big, foldable pizza slices like those found in New York. Many of the pies have names inspired by the city, such as the Meatpacking District (Todd's favorite), which comes covered in ham, pepperoni, sausage, salami, and bacon. Almost as popular as their pizzas, the buffalo wings can be served with nearly as many sauces as there are people in New York complaining when the Yankees don't make the playoffs. Elsewhere on the menu are build-your-own deli sandwiches and a variety of hot dogs.
