Naveen's traditional parents should be thrilled that he's finally found A Nice Indian Boy to settle down with. After all, Keshav had a proper upbringing and knows Hindi -- but he also happens to be a caucasian raised by Indian parents. And then there's Naveen's sister, who did marry someone "acceptable," and is now miserable. This sharp-witted dramedy of Desi family dynamics in the Silicon Valley is by award-winning playwright Madhuri Shekar, who grew up in Chennai and the Bay Area. EnActe, which specializes in producing plays with a South Asian connection, stages this production at Palo Alto's Cubberly Community Center.
This show runs approximately 90 minutes and is recommended for those age 12 and older.
