Great educational experience coupled with fun. The presenter, Karen, was so passionate about the work done at the facility and truly cared about giving the audience the best information injected with a little humor making the evening so worthwhile. My compliments to the organization for the work they do for the endangered wolves, the message they share with those fortunate to cross their path and for the manner in which they treat their guests. I have become a member to support their efforts. Thanks!

I had no idea what to expect when getting there. I had no idea why I had to sign up for a tour. The web site would be better if more detail was given on what to expect and what you offer. (Not that lack of information is unusual in St. Louis. This is a constant complaint from people who did not grow up here!)

What You'll Get

Wolves are one of the most social creatures found in nature, though you often have to attend numerous dinner parties with them before they get your name right on the first try. Reintroduce yourself to these beautiful creatures with today's Groupon to the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka. Choose between the following options:

  • For $10, you get two daytime tour admissions with or without an accompanying program (up to a $20 value).
  • For $19, you get two admissions to a wine-and-cheese reception plus a wolf behavior and communication program (up to a $38 value).

Dedicated to the preservation of canid species careening down the path toward extinction, the Endangered Wolf Center offers educational programs and tours of its rustic on-site wolf habitats. Daytime tours that include a program set sail at 10 a.m., and tours without the program begin at 1 p.m. During the indoor program, one of the center’s savvy docents or a staff member will lead guests through a short film and a hands-on lecture centered around a Discovery Box filled with wolf pelts, paw-print casts, wolf skulls, and paw-made pottery excavated from the sites of ancient wolf civilizations. A half-mile walking tour of the wolf enclosures affords guests the opportunity to observe and photograph up to two wolf species and three other canid species, including a brand new crop of wolf pups.

The Endangered Wolf Center offers adult-only evening programs that kick off with a wine-and-cheese reception, during which guests listen to a program about wolf behavior and communication. Following the reception, a half-mile hike of the area surrounding the wolf enclosures offers guests the opportunity to howl like wolves in hopes that the canids will respond.

Reservations are required for all tours and programs.
