EnterTRAINment Junction - Wetherington: Fun-House and Train Display Visit and Behind the Scenes Tour for Two or Four at EnterTRAINment Junction (Half Off)

Activities for kids compensate for the downsides of growing up, such as doing homework and realizing that your original teeth are never coming back. Put a smile on a child’s face with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

 • $27.95 for a fun house and train display visit with a behind the scenes tour for two (a $55.90 value)
 • $55.90 for fun house and train display visit with a behind the scenes tour for four (a $111.80 value)

Passes grant access to the A-Maze-N Funhouse and Train Journey, with a behind the scenes tour that pulls back the curtain and shows you how the train display works. The A-Maze-N Funhouse features carnival classics such as a mirror maze, a tilt room, a vortex tunnel, and numerous optical illusions. The grounds give way to an old-fashioned circus midway and four differently themed tents with a slew of attractions, including an Ames room that gives visitors the illusion of growing or shrinking by walking across the room.

The Train Journey is a 25,000-square-foot G-scale model train display, comprising 90 G-scale trains and more than 2 miles of track, detailing the history of trains in the United States. Spanning from the 1860s to the present day, exhibits invite visitors to feast their eyes on steam engines and modern diesel locomotives alike as they power through ornately detailed towns populated by handcrafted buildings, trees, bridges, and an 11-foot waterfall that fills the canals and lakes. Guests may also expand their minds in the interactive American Railroad Museum and romp through Imagination Junction.

Then, guides lead guests on a behind the scenes walk-through of the model, which explores how the model works—from its design to its sound and theatrical lighting.

EnterTRAINment Junction

Train hobbyist Don Oeters founded EnterTRAINment Junction in 2008 to showcase railroading in an educational and amusing way. Two years later, his 80,000-square-foot facility was voted Ohio's Best Family Entertainment Center of 2010. At EnterTRAINment Junction, train enthusiasts can visit the railroad museum, drive hand-cranked locomotives, or bounce, climb, and crawl through Imagination Junction, an interactive kids' play area. Their newest addition, the A-Maze-N Funhouse, features five disorienting sideshow tents, with attractions such as Curtain Chaos, Clown College, Outer limits, and the Mirror Maze.

At the centerpiece, a 25,000-square-foot indoor model train display dazzles visitors with 90 G-scale trains and 2 miles of track winding through handcrafted landscapes, including an 11-foot waterfall, thousands of trees, and scenes documenting railroad's early, middle, and modern periods. Each train car is the size of a loaf of bread, making it easier for groups to see it or break it into communal pieces, and Oeters and his staff continually tweak the locomotive's surroundings by adding seasonal touches and installing minor or major updates. Historical train artifacts, educational videos, and interactive exhibits await amblers in the railroad museum, and the Imagination Junction kids' area entertains youngsters with train-themed play structures.

I took 2 nine year old girls and two twelve year old boys. Many things are geared with younger children in mind but we all loved it. We were there over 2 hours and had a great time. Well worth the Groupon cost. We loved the signage in the train exhibit that causes you to look for certain things. This helps in getting them to really pay attention to the displays. We learned a lot and encourage others to go.
