This is probably the most fun you'll have with a Groupon this year!

I really enjoyed the museum. I only said I wouldn't come back because I felt I was able to really look at everything. I'm glad we had the Groupon, though. I really wouldn't want to pay full price. The Groupon was even better that the locals/seniors rate. Thanks.

A bar would be fun.

Owned by the California-based nonprofit Exodus Trust, the Erotic Heritage Museum encourages awareness of mankind’s sensual history with more than 17,000 square feet of artwork and artifacts spread across two floors. After gandering at the vibrant murals on the museum’s exterior, guests can navigate a slew of permanent exhibitions and featured installations that attempt to encompass sexuality’s many evolutions, including the stage in the Neolithic era when early man learned that driving expensive mastodons caught the eyes of females. Under the guidance of expert staffers, museum-explorers trace timelines of passion from displays of antique adult toys to records of first-amendment disputes. In the Aphrodite exhibit, more than 6,000 figurines, prints, and paintings pay homage to the female form, including what the Las Vegas Review Journal describes as a “multidimensional, lushly rendered resin cast of Aphrodite that seems to undulate out to viewers.” White canvas paintings by François Dubeau artfully suggest amatory figures without completely unveiling them, and Larry Flynt’s gold-plated wheel chair solicits glances and a menagerie of monitors screen archives of vintage adult films, including 8mm shorts on how to file your taxes and avoid catching consumption in the workplace. Before leaving, patrons can swing by the toilet humor exhibit to scrawl a knock-knock joke on the walls of a fully functional restroom.

An attached boutique stocks educational books and movies as well as reproductions of certain museum pieces, original adult-film poster art, and insurance against Freudian slips. For hours and additional information, click here.

About Erotic Heritage Museum

When Rev. Ted McIlvenna and photographer Harry Mohney joined forces to create the Erotic Heritage Museum, they wanted a space that celebrated sexual pleasure and individual sexuality—two vital, natural aspects of the human experience. From galleries of vintage adult-film posters and Playboy covers to rare books of erotic art, the artifacts amassed in the more than 24,000-square-foot museum explore human sexuality's impacts on the arts. As the Las Vegas Review-Journal observed, approximately 50 monitors screen vintage films from the turn of the 20th century through the revolutionary film Deep Throat, and mannequins re-create the behind-the-scenes production sets of erotic works. Among the other exhibits, antique adult toys trace the history of pleasure, records of first-amendment disputes illustrate the ongoing fight for sexual expression, and Larry Flynt’s gold-plated wheelchair memorializes the day Flynt accidentally bumped into King Midas in an elevator. Throughout the year, special events further explore and examine sensuality through erotic poetry, naked yoga, and lectures.
