What You'll Get
Long played by native Canadian tribes, lacrosse has recently begun to outpace other popular northern sports such as musk-ox racing and competitive shivering. Shake up your youngin's summer with today's Groupon: for $80, you get a five-session lacrosse clinic, which includes a lacrosse stick and a T-shirt, for boys age 9–15 from ESB Lacrosse (a $160 value). Sessions are held at the Overland Park Soccer Complex from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 16, June 23, July 19, July 21, and July 27.
Launched by a group of experienced high-school coaches, ESB Lacrosse aims to cultivate a love of the fast-paced sport in young athletes. During their five weeks in the clinic, kids will learn to handle their new STX lacrosse sticks to their advantage, whether they are focusing on summer fun, future college play, or building muscle memory for super-efficient butterfly-hunting expeditions. Demonstrations, plenty of practice, and one-on-one coaching equip young bodies to pass, catch, strategize, and work effectively as a team. The Overland Park Soccer Complex's well-lit artificial-turf fields create a safe arena, so boys can play their hardest without worrying about stumbling into a nest of grass sharks. A protective mouthpiece is required for all players.

About ESB Lacrosse
The instructors of ESB Lacrosse lead clinics, camps, and leagues with one purpose: helping young players strengthen their acumen on the field of play. The instructors' lesson plans and drills help acclimate new players to the game by teaching solid fundamentals including how to win a face-off and how to recognize when an opposing team has secretly subbed in a polar bear. Lacrosse players with a few seasons under their belts also can learn new techniques to propel their game to a new level of competition, helping them enter tougher leagues or begin a collegiate career.
