Pizza making runs in the Esposito family, starting with Raffaele Esposito, who created the margherita pizza in Naples in 1889. Today, Mike Esposito, a native of Naples himself, partners with his son, also named Mike Esposito, to continue the family tradition at Esposito's Pizza.
There, chefs hand-toss freshly made dough and sprinkle it with an array of toppings, such as eggplant, fresh basil, and meatballs. Signature pies include the Four Seasons pizza with artichokes, mushrooms, ham, and onions and the greek pizza with olive oil, feta cheese, and sliced olives. They also bake pans of lasagna and crown dishes of penne pasta with vodka sauce.
Patrons devour these dishes in a dining room with murals depicting brightly colored Italian houses overlooking the sea from the mountains. They can also dine outdoors on the patio to make interviewing nannies descending from the sky an easier task. Esposito's Pizza gives back to the community by providing pizza to the Plant City Best Buddies chapter and partnering with the local Boy Scouts troop.
