I think it was fine. I felt very relaxed yet I'm not sure if it was because of the acupuncture needles or that I was directed to not move for the hour I was in the room. In fact, very little insight as to how or why acupuncture is administered or functions was offered. Very good interaction with the staff. The office felt clean and comfortable.

About This Deal

Acupuncture needles are different from sewing needles, in that they are much tinier and can’t be used to attach patches of fake fur to a T-shirt. Feel the difference with this voucher.

$45 for a 60-Minute Acupuncture Session with Consultation ($95 Value)

By inserting thin, sterile needles into specific points along the body, an acupuncturist opens energy pathways and stimulates the body’s healing capacities.

About Essence of China Acupuncture and Herb Clinic

The six pulses of your wrist, the quality of your tongue—Lei Shaw scrutinizes such aspects of the body to pinpoint signs of imbalance. One way of rectifying those imbalances is through acupuncture, a technique the licensed acupuncturist and herbalist honed while serving as resident doctor at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital in China. She performs sessions by inserting thin needles at specific points of the body to help restore the flow of energy and increase empathy toward pincushions. To alleviate muscle tightness and sprains, Lei turns to cupping, in which heated glass cups placed on patients’ skin create a vacuum that boosts circulation. She further stimulates the body’s natural healing processes with personalized Chinese herbal formulas administered through pills or capsules.
