For the third year in a row, winemakers, culinary experts, and craft vendors convene against a postcard-worthy mountain backdrop. The occasion: the Estes Park Wine Festival. Read on to learn about the tastes, sights, and sounds of this wine-fueled fest:
- The wines: samples of pinot noirs, chardonnays, red zinfandels, syrahs, and sauvignon blancs flow from bottles hailing from more than 20 Colorado wineries including Aspen Peak Cellars, Snowy Peaks Winery, Turquoise Mesa Winery, and Bijou Creek Vineyards
- The cuisine: local eateries such as Mateo's Catering and Tayziac J's Wood-Fired Pizza serve up mouthwatering bites
- The goods: cutlery, original paintings, handmade jewelry, outback hats, and more fill vendors' booths
- The tunes: live sets from local bands set a soundtrack that includes everything from rock and folk to blues and funk.
