Unfortunately, this experience escalated far beyond a simple service issue. I paid $78 through Groupon and an additional $20 in person for a hybrid lash set at Wax and Beauty Bar. Within less than three days, I experienced significant fallout on one side despite following proper aftercare. I did not pick at my lashes; the fallout occurred after normal showering and gently brushing them with the lash brush provided. After I contacted the provider and sent photos, she acknowledged the fallout was more than expected and initially offered to fix the lashes. She later also offered a refund if I chose to have them removed. However, the resolution changed multiple times during the same conversation. I was then offered a temporary fix using drugstore lash clusters and was only informed after I was already traveling that I would need to purchase the lashes myself. Due to the distance, timing, and added requirement, this was not feasible. When I requested the refund that had already been offered, both the fix and refund were withdrawn and responsibility was placed on me. Most concerning, the provider later stated in writing that a refund would only be issued if I removed my Google reviews. I have since received a partial refund of $20 (the in-person payment), but the Groupon amount has not been refunded. I was also told that a “legal team” would be contacting me regarding my reviews. The lashes did not last as expected, communication was inconsistent, and the resolution process felt unprofessional. I am currently working with Groupon to resolve the remaining refund.
