Q:

Could I use this groupon for my back instead of face?

Martha R.  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

Microlaser peel can be done anywhere, however, this deal is for the face only. Call the office to find out how you can do the back.

Q:

What is the difference between this treatment and a photofacial? Can I still have microdermabrasions after this procedure?

Monica  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

The photofacial is light based (not laser). There is no need for microdermabrasion after this treatment since one microlaser peel is equivalent to approximately 6 microdermabrasions and is ten times better.

Q:

How many post treatment visits are required after having the procedure done and how much are they?

Monica  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

Because the level of ablation will be kept to 10-15 microns, there is no need for post treatments visits. Most concerns, if any, can be handled over the phone. If at anytime you feel you need a post treatment visit, it will be complimentary.

Q:

how long is does the treatment last?

Monica  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

The procedure removes the layer of dead cells in your skin, so it last until they accumulate again, but there is also a long term gain, because it stimulates new collagen formation that can last a long time.

Q:

Is this treatment better, the same, or less effective than Fraxel -- in your professional opinion...?

diana m.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

These treatments complement each other. Microlaser peel ablates the superficial layer of the skin, whereas the fraxel penetrates (pierces) into deeper layers of the skin. They both stimulate new collagen formation and address pigment problems as well as fine wrinkles. They can be done the same day. microlaser peel first, and fraxel on top, without increasing the down time.

Is this similar to a chemical peel? Will there be actual peeling of the skin? Is it painful?

Maria B.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

You can read more about this treatment here.
