We love to tour historical buildings, and this was more than we imagined. The house itself, was beautiful, with some interesting history and elements. But we were surprised about the life of General Dawes, who had a lengthy resume that included VP of the US. Also learned of all the community involvement of the Dawes and how much they did for Evanston. Highly recommend!

On a summer afternoon, we essentially got a private tour of an historic Evanston home and a window onto the life of a vice president we previously knew little about.
