What You'll Get
A strong man wrestles you to the ground to show off; a stronger man boosts your self-esteem and then accidentally breaks three of your ribs with a supportive hug. Learn the tenets of both strength and community with today's Groupon: for $60, you get a six-week boot-camp fitness class at Evolution Fitness (a $120 value). Classes are held at various outdoor locations throughout the Capital District.
Certified personal trainer and nutritionist Debi Condon of Evolution Fitness guides groups of fitness-seekers toward slimmer physiques and healthier lifestyles with energetic, outdoor boot-camp classes. During each one-hour workout, Condon uses interval-training techniques that combine cardio with strength training to spark caloric bonfires and help participants to shed extra pounds. Attendees execute exercises incorporating body weight and dumbbells to target specific body parts, building strength and stamina and becoming as flexible as a gymnast with a wide-open schedule. Throughout the rigorous workout, Condon keeps spirits high by fostering an upbeat atmosphere while making sure students perform each exercise safely and correctly and that they wear their welder's goggles at all times.

About Evolution Fitness
After fighting her way back to a size four following the birth of her third child, Debi Condon earned her personal-training-and-nutrition certification and founded Evolution Fitness. Debi and her crew lead mostly female groups of all ages and fitness levels through indoor and outdoor boot camps, TRX-suspension classes and personal-training sessions. Interval routines leverage mats, free weights, and nearby playground equipment to build up endurance against fatigue and cooties. With an emphasis on supportive motivation rather than drill-sergeant tactics or endless scrimmages against fast-food mascots, trainers strive to build accountability among their students through friendships and unlimited email support.
