After losing their iPhones at sea, early sailors compensated by permanently affixing lost apps like treasure maps and anchors to their skins with ink—and thus tattooing was born. Today’s Groupon lets your skin upload its own signature app. For $49, you get $100 worth of tattoos, piercings, jewelry, and store products at either of Evolved’s two locations, situated within one block of each other on High Street in the University District.
Evolved’s tattoo and piercing artists are a dedicated crew of professionals trained in advanced sterilization procedures, so you won't have to worry about them eating a big, sloppy sandwich while puncturing your skin with a sharp object. Tattoo prices ($50 and up) will vary according to the design, size, and location on the body. Piercings start at $37 (ear lobes and basic cartilage) and increase for body piercings ($57) and surface piercings ($70). The needle-averse, meanwhile, can still adorn their skin with Evolved's massive line of jewelry both tribal and shiny, as well as an assortment of shirts that range from $15–$20 (T-shirts) to $50 (bowling shirts).
Tattoos and piercings are a great way to preserve a memory or express yourself artistically to strangers without erupting into interpretive dance at the bus stop. Evolved is dedicated to providing customers with a skilled, respectful staff and a clean, professional work environment. You can either make an appointment or just show up.
Evolved's cleanliness and professionalism have earned it an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Google Mappers give Evolved four stars, eight Citysearchers give it three, and three Judy's Book reviewers give it 3.8, while four Yelpers give the shop five stars:
