Q:

I have a 2009 Honda Fit but I do not have keyless entry. If I were to purchase this, would the keyfob for the remote starter also act as a push button keyless entry?

Kerri M.  asked on  Mar 20, 2012

A:

It would if your vehicle already has power locks. We can add the components necessary to control them via the keyfob for an additional charge. Feel free to call for amount. Thanks

Q:

Hi. I have a 1999 Toyota 4 Runner Limited with power locks and keyless entry. Will the second option completely replace my current key remotes? Will those be unusable after? How large is the remote? what is the range (distance)? Will I have any additional charges and if so what would they be?

Steven B.  asked on  Mar 20, 2012

A:

Your remotes will still operate as always. Remotes are relatively small. Your car requires an immobilizer bypass module to allow it to start remotely, at a charge of $80.

Your vehicle requires an ignition bypass module which allows the remotely start to work without the presence of your key in the vehicle. Depending on whether or not you want to sacrifice a key the unit will cost between $55-80 additonally. Code Alarms' version of the smart start is called Car Link will be $299 additonally.
