- $15 for two weeks of unlimited Zumba classes ($50 value)
Because of its tendency to dissolve inhibitions by the time the beat sets in, Zumba has been deemed “exercise in disguise” by instructors in both The Huffington Post and USA Today. The dance-fitness program—now a mainstay in thousands of gyms worldwide—syncs basic dance steps and calisthenics to upbeat music, often drawing upon Latin styles such as merengue, salsa, and flamenco.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? It’s fun. People who told me they never liked dancing have found a place in Tahitian dance. It’s great for fitness. You can expect light cardio aerobics and some gentle muscle toning. It’s a cultural experience. It’s a beautiful art, one that complements a woman’s body very gracefully.
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well? Children can participate with mom once a month to interact and create a connection with dance. Class for kids starting [at age] 4 years old and older, mommy required to do class with child.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Every woman deserves an hour each week to spend on just herself. Giving dancing lessons is an experience she won’t soon forget! Classes are a great way to meet new people, get some exercise, and learn something fun.
What do you love most about your job? I became passionate about teaching. It was a chance to connect with women from all different walks of life and to share life experience. I loved being able to surprise students, many who had come into the classroom with no hope of learning how to dance, with their own successes.
