- C$6 for C$10 worth of liquid-nitrogen ice cream
Don't be alarmed by the smoky clouds emitting from the counter at Extreme Cream. That's not smoke at all, but rather what some might think a miracle of science. At Extreme Cream, they make each serving of ice cream to order, from scratch, in just under 20 seconds with liquid nitrogen. This means the ice cream has no preservatives, food colouring, or artificial flavours, just all natural goodness and a supple, creamy texture. Customers choose from the parlor's signature flavors, such as salt lick caramel, made with pink himalayan salt and pretzels, or the strawberry square pants, which takes its name from the trousers it removes from the sponge cake before blending. Visitors can also combine different toppings to create their own custom flavor, and request that it be plopped atop a fresh-baked brownie or cookie for an extra-sweet treat.
