While driving around in a fast car may seem like a race, Extreme Speed Track Events makes sure that it's first and foremost an educational experience. That's because, before anyone steps on the gas, drivers are placed into heats according to skill level, and beginners receive group instruction prior to heading out on the track. In the safety briefing they learn passing rules, flags and their meanings, and the proper hand signals for notifying another driver that his turn signal looks cool. The lesson continues as the group heads out to the track, where they follow the instructor around at a comfortable pace and familiarize themselves with the facility. Finally, when it's time to drive, participants test the mettle of their vehicles on the open track.
