Q:

I'm interested in getting by-focial glasses for reading and distance would their be an additional cost for this type of lenses? Also you guys put $150 toward the frames but what about the lenses? Please advise..thanks

Kathleen P.  asked on  Nov 17, 2012

A:

The $150 is a credit towards a frame and lens purchase. The final cost of your glasses depends on what frame you select as well as the lens options that you need. Since individual needs vary so much please contact the office to get a rough idea of your cost.

Q:

Does the exam include a glaucoma test? Or does that cost extra?

Stephanie S.  asked on  Nov 15, 2012

A:

Hi Stephanie. The exam does include glaucoma testing. There are additional procedures that can enhance the exam which are optional and not required. An example would be screening retinal photographs. These are not necessary to check for glaucoma but are recommended for with a family history of eye disease, or those that want to have a baseline image of their eyes going forward. Again, they are optional, and you will be given an option to decline at your exam.

Q:

I would perfer contact len's exam and contacts is that possiable?

Yvonne S.  asked on  Nov 15, 2012

A:

Hi Yvonne. Unfortunately the groupon is not valid for contacts lenses. You'll need an eye exam though to get a starting point for your prescription in order for the doctor to fit contact lenses. Please contact the office to get our prices on CL exams.

Q:

Could I expect to get a pair of glasses and frames for $49? Do I have to select from "designer" frames? I would need bifocals and inexpensive frames.

Courtland B.  asked on  Nov 15, 2012

A:

Hi. Please call the office to discuss prices. Our frames vary in price from basic non brand name up to designer lines. The staff should be able to estimate cost for you when you call. There are a lot factors that can I fluence the final price so it is difficult to post that here.

Q:

i am a new customer via Groupon. How much would a pair of bifocals cost? I already have a prescription.

Brad S.  asked on  Nov 15, 2012

A:

Hi Brad. Basic plastic bifocals run $139. Upgrades to thinner and lighter materials like polycarbonate would increase that cost slightly. The groupon deal is the same whether you have a prescription already or not. You still get a complete eye exam with the deal and $150 credit.
