What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
While practicing Optometry in Chicago for over twenty years, Dr. Ricketts has had the privilege of meeting and helping many amazing people. He wanted an office that would reflect his style in decor and eyeglasses. Dr. Ricketts planned and designed the new space to feel like “home”; for everyone.
What do you love most about your job?
There is an “Eye” in team at Eye Mechanix! Everyone one here loves their jobs, for different reasons. We all agree: we mostly love the people we meet ! Bring in your Groupon and your fun personality. We will welcome you with a big smile and talk about our jobs, or anything else.:)

The staff at Eye Mechanix is great. Dr.Ricketts possesses a whimsical bedside manner. His informed but relaxed approach to his craft is refreshing in the world of bland doctors. The ladies compliment Dr. Ricketts’s attitude nicely with a great level of knowledge and a keen fashion sense.
