What You'll Get
Deprived of nourishment in the womb by stronger, full-size cakes, cupcakes have overcome their physical shortcomings by maintaining dignity, even when covered in sprinkles. Give a high-five to the little guy with today’s Groupon: for $25, you get a two-hour, BYOB cupcake-decorating class at Faboo Cakes, in Hendersonville (a $55 value). Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The mini-masterpiece designers at Faboo Cakes offer tasty tutelage to sweet-toothed students during BYOB cupcake-decorating classes. During alcohol-enhanced, two-hour sessions, experienced sugar artists will demonstrate how to make decorative swirls, flowers, and dreams of sugarplums in each class. Meanwhile, tippling trainees socialize, apply the freshly absorbed knowledge to the provided ingredients and supplies, and absorb the convivial atmosphere contained in their brought-from-home adult beverages of choice. After embellishing mini cakes, classmates will take home a half-dozen confections to eat for homework. Festive classes are also available during holiday seasons and can be customized for specific occasions.

About Faboo Cakes
With nothing but real butter, milk, flour, sugar, eggs, and sheer artistic ability, sisters Kimberly and Kristina and their team keep Faboo Cakes' ovens churning out elaborate and edible art pieces. Their sweet cake sculptures have taken the shape of football mascots, musical instruments, trucks, sci-fi characters, and pets. In addition to crafting whimsical desserts, the bakeshop whips up brownies, cookies, whoopie pies, fresh tarts, and other pastries, as well as marshmallows made by hand or plucked fresh from the tree. Kimberly and Kristina also reveal their secrets in hands-on baking classes.
