Faction Strength and Conditioning
Faction Strength and Conditioning is a CrossFit gym, which means exercisers gather regularly for intense, rigorous workouts that change up every day. Most opt for the regular WOD, or "workout of the day" CrossFit sessions, which might incorporate anything from pull-ups to powerlifting to sprinting, but competitive athletes can train in Competitor and Weightlifting sessions.
Though the gym is characterized by tough, discipline-building routines, coaches make sure everyone feels welcome. Memberships start with three weeks of Fundamentals class, which acclimates newbies to CrossFit's unique challenges and imparts safety principles. And on the gym's FAQ page, the question "Do I need to be in good shape before I start CrossFit?" is answered with a "Psssh…NO!"
