A multi-talented artist, Awadagin Pratt has performed with the top symphonies on the major stages of the world, and at summer festivals including Ravinia, Blossom, Wolftrap, the Hollywood Bowl and the Mostly Mozart Festival in Tokyo -- not to mention playing at the Obama White House in 2009. He's also a Peabody Conservatory graduate and winner of the Naumburg International Piano Competition. He now joins the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, led by Christopher Zimmerman, at George Mason University's Center for the Arts for two Beethoven masterworks: the mighty Eroica, also known as the Heroic Symphony, and Piano Concerto No. 3, written as a showcase for the talents of a superior pianist, and thus perfect for an artist of Pratt's caliber.
