What You'll Get
When the revolutions of your Skip-It become dull and exhausting, whirl your bike's rusty-spoked wheel and tired chain around anew after today's Groupon. For $35, you get a complete tune-up for your two-wheeler from Family Bicycles (a $75 value). A visit to the friendly bike physicians on Wornall Road will mend weary wheels, connect broken chains, and clear bronchitis from your brakes during a painless and histamine-free treatment.
The joys of riding a bicycle are many and beloved by many. Smells, which are dulled to undetectable levels in four-wheeled transit, are vibrant and piquant from the fresh-air perch of a bicycle seat. At Family Bicycles, a dedicated staff of cyclers will glove up and take your bike through a comprehensive health exam and safety inspection. They'll scrutinize the state of your bike's tires and tubes, wheels, rims, steering, frame, brackets, and more. Then the down-to-earth bike buffs' experienced hands adjust your brakes and true your wheels. The rejuvenation concludes with a light drive-train cleaning, chain lubrication, and a final frame wipe down that leaves your ride feeling like the bicycle bell of the ball.
Confidently ride through the scenery of the country or of the city—its alleyways, byways, and other quaint little ways—as it comes to life in a colorful panorama of shops, sidewalk folk, nature birds, and little dogs. Family Bicycles' comfortable and well-tuned bikes effortlessly roll over obstacles such as flower planters, shopping carts, and flower planters stacked on top of shopping carts. With a recharged roller, you no longer have to light your wheels on fire to impress the locals with your commitment to lowering carbon emissions.
Additional charges apply to replacement parts, but Family Bicycles will consult you before fixing anything.
Three Yelpers give Family Bicycles a 4.5-star average.

About Family Bicycles
Theresa Van Ackeren grew up riding her bike on her afternoon paper route along the streets of Omaha, Nebraska. On her 40th birthday, she decided to return to that simple happiness by quitting her day job and opening Family Bicycles. She strives to make biking accessible to all who want to try by hosting rides, special events, and classes to bring newbies into the fold. In the shop, tools sing a tinny song as mechanics true wheels and spruce up soiled drivetrains. Family Bicycles also hosts a winter film series, showing bike-centric Hollywood dramas, documentaries, and the one where the Three Stooges lose their driver’s license.
